I’ve played since the original back on PS1, and I gotta say, they knocked it out of the park!
The game has great mecha customization. You want to be close range? Check. You want to be a sniper? Check. You want to be a mobile artillery platform? Check.
The writing is good, though admittedly the weakest point of the game, but that doesn’t hold it back one bit. Characters are still interesting to listen to between and during missions.
Graphically, the game looks gritty, ad one would expect from a mecha game. Some might call the graphics outdated, but I disagree vehemently. The game is good to look at and the mechas are just beautiful.
Gameplay is quite challenging at times and somewhat fast paced, but once you figure out the mechanics it’s very enjoyable. You’ll find yourself zooming around, blasting away inferior mechas, feeling like a badass in no time.
The music in this game is what we’ve come to expect from From Software, beautiful orchestral tracks immersing you into the world around you. Need I really say more?
Overall, I’d rate AC6 as a great game and a MUST play for any mecha fan.
